Hamilton-Niagara Trade and Investment Mission to Colombia
The City of Hamilton and the Region of Niagara, with the City of St. Catharines and the City of Welland, have come together in 2015 to market a combined region of over one million people with complementary strengths in freight transportation, agriculture and agri-food, health sciences research, advanced education, advanced manufacturing, and more. Examples of the assets of this economic region include Niagara’s border location and support services for exporters, and Hamilton™s 24-hour cargo/passenger airport and major Great Lakes seaport.
Since the 2015 Pan Am Games, the Hamilton-Niagara Partnership has been developing a relationship with a number of South American countries including Colombia. One such relationship is with PROCOLOMBIA, the Colombian Trade Representative to Canada, which has resulted in several events taking place which are designed to introduce Colombian and Canadian businesses.
